VIP farrowing pen system

The patented Ikadan farrowing pen allows the sow to move freely.

The diagonal partition between the two sections provides the sow with more room to move about, and farrowing rails along the outer walls protect piglets form being crushed.

Several years' experience with VIP farrowing pens for loose sows shows that sows and piglets thrive and that piglets apparently grow at a faster rate. The Ikadan VIP system is compatible with the Ikadan Ultraflex slatted flooring. For example the floor in the piglet shelter can be equipped with plastic heating pads in order to provide piglets with optimum conditions. The Ikadan VIP system meets current demands for improved animal welfare.

Plus, there is no need to build new pig housing, as the system does not require larger areas than traditional crate housing - 320 cm x 240 cm for 2 pens.
